So I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier, that I bought recently and when you turn the truck over, some where in the AC system begins to tick and create a vacuum. It only last for about 10 seconds but then when you turn it off it lets the vacuum loose and sputters. Does anyone now how I can fix this?

Your explanation of the problem is rather cryptic. Try to generalize like having difficulties in starting when cold or warm; unable to start. Running problems after starting.

What's with this vacuum? Where are you measuring it? AC systems don't create vacuum; they are a closed system. Are you trying to start the engine with the AC on; if so, there may be a drag on the startup caused by a partially seized up compressor. How is the startup with the AC turned off?

The truck runs great and has no problems driving. When you engage the starter and start the truck. A tick runs in the climate area so to speak for a good 10 seconds. It doesn't matter if the truck is cold or hot, or if the climate is on or off. Driving the truck the last few days has lead me another reason I believe it is a leak. When you get up to say 60-80 mph the climate can be off and you can still feel the fans kind of pushing air. It's not just the heat of the engine brcayse if you turn it cold the air is cold and vice versa.

You said that the climate system has no vacuum and is sealed. When you turn the truck off it lets a vacuum seal go and air is let out of the system. Just as vacuum would let pressure back in.

So at this point I don't know what it is.

Thanks for the advice

Usually ticking noises associated with the HVAC system on these vehicles are due to a faulty door mode actuator; the plastic gear inside the motor begins to wear and strip, so when the mode door gets to the end of it's travel, the actuator will make the "clicking" noise. There are several actuators, so if this is the problem, you'll have to identify which one. Unfortunately, the entire dash has to be pulled out to access them. As far as your "vacuum" noise, might it possibly be just the sound of the refrigerant moving through the evaporator core as the system pressures are equalizing, due to the A/C compressor not operating any more once the vehicle is shut off?
