i cant seem to pinpoint a whining coming from the driveline ov my 3z it only happens when i coast in gear. also im wondering where 2 find engine parts or a new motor to build up cuz of a rod knock and bad oil press and uknown other dammage is it worth a rebuild or should i get an other to build up and kill this one off????? thanx

Is your car turbo or not? If you've got that many problems and your running NA you might want to look for a VG30ET (the turbo motor for our application)

Also when this whining is happening, is the clutch pedal down or are you engine breaking when it does it.

yes it is the vg30et (turbo). and its when im coasting in gear, down shifting or accelerating theres no noise. thanx

 

Might be the differential. Check it out, have the fluid checked. R200 diffs have a bad habit of developing slow leaks. Won't even show up on the driveway, but one day your diff will come up empty.
