Gonna try to replace my main seal, and oil pan gasket saturday to fix my leak, but if that's not the problem I need someone to give me some step by step details of replacing the timing cover gasket. If anyones done it or knows how to do it on a ga16 please respond, my search didn't help and my haynes manual sucks. Thanks.

I just took off my timing cover about 4 days ago. It sucks. I had to take off the passenger wheel, valve cover, upper cams cover, the oil pan, the exhaust to lower the pan and 2 mounts near the pan, the crank shaft pulley, water pump, thermostat, a belt tensioner mount, a motor mount. I did it in that order pretty much. I think that was everything. BE CAREFUL taking off that cover i cracked mine due to one last little bolt i didn't see kinda under that belt tensioner and another hidden one up near the lower chain tensioner housing. Mine is still all part awaiting another cover thanks to Wes.

Oh and also that water pump! I got a straight shot of gushing 50/50 Antifreeze-water mixture straight to the nuggen........

And so that you know it is not a gasket, it uses RTV so chances are it is not leaking if it has never been taken apart before. FWIW the oil pan also uses RTV from the factory.
