I WANT TO KNOW FEW THINGS ON MY NISSAN ROGUE 2025 SL.
THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM IN MY VEHICLE.
INITIALLY WHEN I FIRST TOOK THE VEHICLE , THE NEXT DAY, GPS AND MAPS WAS WORKING, AND THEN IT STOPPED WORKING, INSTRUCTING ME TO PURCHASE THE ATT HOTSPOT. THEN WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY DOWNLOADED OFFLINE GOOGLE MAPS, AND SINCE THEN

THE GPS AND MAPS HAVE BEEN WORKING.

HOW IS IT ALL WORKING ?
WHY IT DID NOT WORK EARLIER ?
I NEVER PAID FOR DATA , SO HOW MAPS ARE WORKING ?
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR NISSAN TRACK ME ALL THE TIME.
HOW TO STOP TRACKING ?

Hello. No need to write in all caps. It's equivalent to shouting.

The navigation system in the T33 with 12.3" screen uses Google Maps and it does require a cellular connection in order to function. Now, when you purchase the Rogue new from Nissan, I believe they give you 3 years of complimentary data service in the United States (someone correct me if I'm mistaken). This data connection is part of the NissanConnect suite of services.

The vehicle's hotspot subscription is only needed if you want to connect other Wifi devices, like a laptop, to your Rogue and have internet access. It's not needed for the maps. If you happen to live in an area with poor to no cellular coverage, that could explain why the navigation wasn't functioning until the dealer downloaded offline maps to your car. You can use the offline maps just like you would if you were online with a few caveats such as no real-time traffic alerts, or re-routing based on traffic/accidents, etc.

Hope that helps.

Strange. Sounds like a software glitch. Try a soft reboot by holding down the power/volume button for 25-30 seconds. If successful, the display will turn off then back on with the Nissan logo boot screen. If that doesn't help, unplug the negative terminal on your battery and leave it disconnected for about 10 minutes. Reconnect it, change your settings then check to see if it retains the C/F parameter. If none of that helps, then ask your dealer if they can flash the infotainment unit with the latest software update.
