does anyone know if the dealer will honor warranty work on a flood titled car? I am also curious as to the recall...If the car needs the recall work done, I think they'll still do it...but what if they find the engine is toast?...will they replace it?...The car looks like water did not even touch it, since it's a recall for the engine problems, will they still cover it? TIA

you may run into a problem. you may not. Here's what I know. While working for general motors, it all depended on wether Gm had updated their system to show that the car had a flood title. Or a salvage title, for that matter. Assuming that it has been updated and Nissan knows that it's a flood car, they may refuse to do any no-charge services on the car. Many manufacturers do so, and it's their right to do it, because any title other than new, or second sale(used in some states), can change the way they warranty the vehicle.

Me?...I would take the car in, and unless they say something about it, move forward. Here's hoping the system hasn't caught up, or better yet, that nissan doesn't update their system...good luck!
