I've been on a few other Forums before, but never had such a knowledgeable tech as You are. Your experience and knowledge is something other Forums would charge dearly to have! Thanks from me and I'm sure MANY others on this site too! Hope You stay for awhile!
Yes...no doubt about it. You are a large part of what makes this particular community great, @VStar650CL!
I also noticed you are a member here: https://forums.********.com/rogue-forum.html
I joined up there as well but, that doesn't seem to get as much traffic as this Nissan Forum does. I just don't understand why!!!
I have also found a place on Facebook -(Nissan Rogue 2021 & UP Owners | Facebook). There is an awful lot of activity there but, no real substance. And, on Facebook, it is completely disorganized.

Between all three, I try to stay current.

Prior to this Rogue (of mine), I had a 2022 Pathfinder - they have this community available: Nissan Pathfinder Forum. That community I found to be outstanding and, closely resembles nissanforums.com but, sadly, the Pathfinder I had did not measure up so, I now have the 2023 AWD Rogue SL with premium package. My wife loves this car, and I do, too!
I remain a member on the PathfinderTalk community - the folks there are all good!

The owners of that forum and this one are basically at war with one another, and a cross posting will get the same censorship treatment over there. The advantage to "that other forum" is that they have a complete collection of FSM's up to '16 and a lot more old timers than this one.

I don't do FB, they call it an "online mob" for a reason. Not as bad as the old Twitter Mob, but it's still awful. The nice thing about forums is that the information here is forever. Any help you give others here is available for posterity with a simple search.
;)

You make good points, @VStar650CL - I appreciate them!
I did not realize the owners of the two sites are 'at war' with one another. How crazy is this world!! And censorship - who knew!!?? Thanks for the insight!
As for Facebook - 'online mob' is an apt description - they do behave like a mob - that is for certain! I only 'wish' the good FB members that frequent FB, would contribute here as well. But, if they're not looking for us, so be it!!
I've made some posts there - sometimes it's appreciated, while other times, not so much.
I am glad we have NissanForums.com as our sandbox!
I do use much of the information here for reference going forward. Although I might not need it at the moment, invariably, I will access it down the road!! I am thankful for the 'search' function here!

@VStar650CL hello planning to do this ags problem of mine tomorrow. Could you please confirm if my reading of this diagram is right.

Am looking at E46- AGS harness pin #3 for communication is V (violet) and then at the end of the harness would be the E22 harness and pin #13 which V are the same line?

Thank you very much!

Combination of both. The Nissan Consult3+and most other high-end scanners have work support for testing them, but there's no really good way to test them without that in summer weather. It is (remotely) possible for the slide mechanism to break and leave the shutter controller thinking it's working when it isn't, but they almost always code when they're jammed or broken.
Mine has check engine light on for this code and my estimate is $1800 to repair!!!

It's not an insignificant job labor-wise, 2~3 hours, but it isn't rocket science either. The bumper skirt needs to come off, but any competent technician can handle that. However, there are now aftermarket shutters available, as well as shutter parts. I've seen complete assemblies online for as low as $150, actuators for as low as $50, and shutters without the actuator for as low as $75. So you can probably save yourself over half of that bill with some careful shopping.

Is it safe to assume the outside air temperature sensor is involved in the operation of the shutters?
Where's the temperature sensor?
I would like to cool it down to see if the shutter closes.
My shutter housing is cracked. No codes, would like to test.
Regards

No. It's actually a complex integral of coolant temp, oil temp, trans temp, A/C pressure, and vehicle speed. The ambient temp isn't considered, although the ECM may infer it from the IAT and FTT readings. Nissan doesn't specify the exact math used in the algorithm, instead we have a utility in the Consult3+ that lets us command the shutter arbitrarily for checking operation.

What’s the location of the fuse on a 2018 Rogue. I can’t find it in any of the 3 boxes. Maybe I’m not recognizing the fuse ID, but I assume that it’s AGS

Hi @Berzrkr - thanks for your post. This forum is actually for the 3rd generation model year Rogue vehicles (that means 2021 to present. I do not know if the 2018 fuse location will be the same as for this generation.
You may want to check out this forum (2nd generation) - you may find more of an accurate answer (for you 2018) there. Here is the link: https://www.nissanforums.com/forums/2nd-generation-rogue-2014-2020.408/

Welcome back to the forum.

Hey @teejay69 - thanks for your comment to @VStar650CL. He is not ignoring you (you may notice his recent post in this particular thread is from September 2023!). Has advised me privately he was taking a break from the forum, as he is extremely busy on his job! It's all good!!

Is the active grill shutter on 2021 Rogue equiped with a motor or actuator? My check engine light is on and the dealer is telling he cannot erase the code since the grill shutter needs to be replaced. I am wondering if there is an actuator to be replaced instead of the whole grill. I had some snow and ice stuck in there this winter and they were able to erase the code. Now they cannot erase it...strange. Obviously the grill shutter were not tested during real winter conditions. I hate that when engineers do not fully test their products. I guess that is why they recommend to never buy a vehicle in its first year.
did you get your issue fixed?
