I'm a student at Wyotech, and this school sucks it's not worth the money that you spend to go here. I came here because of its name and I thought it would be a great school. I have been here for 7 weeks now and am in ASM. After about the second day this school I found out has went to shit in the past year. The reason for this is because Wyotech got bought out by carinthian. In ASM we are treated like we are four years old. When my rep. came to me she told me that at this school puts you in a real world environment. When they couldn't be as far from that as possible. So I would advise anyone that wants to go to school here seriously think it over because if I would have known what I know now I wouldn't have came here. If you have any questions you can Wright me back or E-mail me at

[email protected] and I will be happy to answer any question you have

Don't worry man, I went to a university and it didn't prepare me for my career either.

You should have done what my dad did, appritence under a great technician, study on your own, learn as much as you can. I took him a few years, but now not only does he do damn fine work, he owns his own shop.

My step-brother is now learning under my dad and he's doing alright so far.

i know

I had a few friends come up here before wyotech got bought out by carenthin that said the school was awsome. I also figured that coming here would help me get a loan when i wanted to start a business, later on.

But if you know anyone who was planing to go here tell them not to. Again it is a shit hole.

im getting ready to head off to UTI soon, i have sat in the back for about 12min of a few classes and it seemed quite professional. they assign every student their own tranny, and engine block to learn on, and they have a MASSIVE collection of front car clips to do diagnostics on. its 4 month old campos in PA. I am extremely excited. im sorry to hear it didnt work out for you though. i suppose the best thing to do is, use the schools name to get a good job and just advance as much as you possibly can. or see if your dad will aloow a joint partner ship with his shop, hope it works out for ya.

I go to UTI outside of chicago and its not that bad as long as you keep a open mind about things, some classes you can learn as much as you want to from the instructors and other classes all you want to do is pull the trigger on the gun that you have to your head.

Its like any other job, you have your cool people to work with and then you have your a$$holes that all you want to do is drop a car on their head.

Watch out for the manufacture's programs as your reps dont really tell you $hit about what you really need to get into them, and now that UTI is on the stock market the price of enrollment is getting really bad. A friend of mine at the school and i signed up for the TOYOTA program tht they just started at this campus, he got all his paperwork done 4 weeks before me and the price has already changed by over $500.

I think its like any other trade/training school where they try to cram alot of info into you in a short time and expect everyone to be an the same level of experience.
