Hey all,

There's this wierd rubbing noise that I have just recently noticed in my automatic 1993 Sentra SE-R. This is what happens: I drive normally, and get to about 40 mph, by this time, I'd be in third gear. If I keep my foot on the gas, everything is normal.

Right when I take my foot of the gas, and let it coast, it is still fine -- except if I hit small dips in the road. When I hit those dips, I'll notice a rubbing noise (all suspension stuff is stock, no lowering).

I thought my shocks were shot, but I checked my shocks and they seem to be fine (I pushed down on my car and it didn't bounce up and down).

Or could it be a transmission problem? I have also heard of common CV joint problems in these cars as well, what are the symptoms though?

Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

I hear a rubber rubbing type of noise when crawling. Sounds as if the CV boot is rubbing together but that's purely a guess.
