Got a little problem but have no answer: After a trip with my coupe (E16S carb, mech. fuel pump) the fuel-level in the bowl is where it has to be.
Because I just drive the car when weather is good, it is not unusual that the car stands in the garage few days or weeks without moving.

That the fuel evaporates after weeks and the start takes 1 or 2 minutes, i can understand.
But that the fuel bowl is nearly empty after 5-6 days and the engine just starts after lots of cranking.

Once started everything's fine
The carb is rebuild and the pump is new.

Is this a known problem and how can i repair that? (I don't want to install an electric pump)

I am sure the fuel return line and the purge canister line has something it do with it. Since I have a Weber installed, I have done away with those. Only have to crank her alot after about 5 days of just sitting.
