i bought a 2005 altima and the when i was talking to the dealer he said it's generally a bad idea to wash the engine of the car.
is it true or pure bs?

There are a lot of sensitive electronics that could be damaged with a high pressure engine wash. Unless you know what they are & cover them with plastic, you run the risk of damaging these electronic parts..
