Hi,

I'm not an expert with cars and I need help. I have an old Nissan Sedan which is currently off the road due to blown head gusket. I would like to replace the engine and would like to know which engines are compatible with my car. Details of my car are as follows; Type: E-EB12, Chasis No: EB12-390944, Model: EB12BFEIY NN, Engine: CA16(DE) 1598.

first thing that comes to mind is a CA18DE!

you would need the ECU and wiring harness, but otherwise, it bolts up to the motor mounts AND transmission without an issue, and is both a good engine, and a significant difference in power compared to the CA16DE.
