i just changed my altenator and i couldnt get it out of that little space so i took the big hose off and the part its connectd to on the block where the water pump flows the anti-freeze to the radiator... when i put it back on i used a orange gasket maker and then after 1 hr i drove around for 10 mins and it leaked [im stupid i kno, 1 hr isnt long enuff] but is there a real gasket made for that cause wen i took mine off it had the silicon like stuff on it. i just put it back on just now with the strongest gasket maker [black one, also high temp] and lettin it sit over nite. :D will it work?

There is no gasket.

Nissan uses silicone on most parts. When you using silicone get shure it's O2 safe....

I'am using Cyclo instant gasket and no leaks :)
