Quick question, just installed a Volant Air intake and it seems to me that I may have lost some performance. Seems like the low end isn't as torquey as it was. Iin 4 gear at about 2500rpm it seems to dog. I don't know, anyone else install an intake (K&N, Airraid, Volant) and have similar results??

That's usually the case. You gain HP but you may loose torque due to the larger diameter intake tract, which will have reduced air velocity at lower RPM's. I lost torque on my 2000 F150 when I put an Airraid intake on it, but the HP I gained was worth it. I love the torque my Titan has, so I don't want to mess with it.

If your running the stock exhaust then you'll more than likely have this problem. I installed the JBA exhaust and noticed a bump all around then installed my Volant just the other day and it seems to "breath" better along with better throttle response. I'll hopefully hit the dyno next week to see if it really does anything.

I'm planning on doing the exhaust soon so I'll see what happens with both of them. If it doesn't improve much I'm gonna go back to the stock intake. I hate the wall it hits at 2500rpm!!! thx for the input.

You should gain in both, more so when you add a new exhaust. You need to reset your ECU. I installed my Nismo breather on Thursday and reset the computer yesterday. There was a bigger difference after I reset the computer than there was when I initially installed the unit. Here is a link on how to reset your ecu... http://makeashorterlink.com/?F262158EB
