I'm sure there are places local to you that could chrome plate your VC for you. Won't be cheap, but look for an industrial type place that does a high volume, they'll be cheaper. My Father-in-law had a bunch of parts done for his MG for like $600 I think at a local industrial place and he originally got a qoute for a auto oriented plating place for $3000. So shop around. You can always painstakingly polish yours, there's plenty of info on the net on how to do that. AFAIK, there isn't anyone that makes a chorme plated VC for the GA16DE, nor the SR20DE for that matter. I'd bet you can have it done fairly reasonably, maybe like $60, but that's a barely educated guess, and what you and I deem reasonable might differ. I'd just paint it. Polish and mask off the lettering to leave it metal or paint the lettering a different color than the rest, that adds a really nice touch. Maybe do the ECCS lettering that's on your intake, that looks nice, despite that ECCS is nothing to brag about. :)

Can you paint the black plastic ones with ceramic paint, or will it not stick to the plastic? I guess if I wanted to do that I should just grab a 94- VC from a junkyard and paint that and swap it out.

I think ceramic paint will stick to plastic, but why ceramic? Plastic doesn't conduct well anyways, and obviously the VC doesn't get that hot since they're making them out of plastic, so ceramic paint on it would be a waste. I'm assuming ceramic paint must have a certain look that you're wanting.
