OK here is the history...
2001 Sentra GXE 5 speed
Replaced Mass Airflow Sensor 2005
Replaced battery 2006
Today.
Have SES light on. Code reads Cranckshaft position sensor. Had the recall done 5 years ago and re-replaced the sensor last week. Had the codes cleaned only to have the SES spit out the same sensor code the following day.
The car sputters on the highway to the point a stalling out. Let it sit for 5 min and you are good to go for another 20km. The following day the car drives perfectly. A day or 2 later the same sputering and stalling.
I had the battery checked, I had the alternator checked. My last thought is the ECM. Has anybody had this issue in the past?
