In the process of getting the wreck back on the road. Stuck a new/used ECU in and tossed in a battery, turned the key and nothing happened. No click, no whir, no starter. I can hotwire it (cross the starter) and get it to turn over but she won't start. Can someone please explain why the car will not turn over by the key?

So there has to be some sort of cut-off that is causing it not to start. Some vehicles have a fuel cutoff that activates in a crash, but I'm getting fuel pressure and spark, just no starter. Is there a switch maybe I can bypass on the shift lever (automatic) that won't let it start in anything but park that may be bad?

Help!

Check the fuses. Why did you install a different ECU?
