I'm looking to replace the aging AT in my '91 Infiniti M30 with a 5-speed from a Z31 (which is why I've posted in this section...the M30 takes many parts from the Z31).
The only variable I can think of is if the driveshaft will work with the new transmission or not. The logic I'm going by here is that since the M30 & Z31 shared the same engine (VG30E) and the same AT (RE4R01A) that the MT used by the Z31 should work in the M30 - if the same driveshaft is used by both AT and MT Z31s. The other way to tell, I would imagine, would be if one could compare the length of the RE4R01A to that of the Z31 MT (whose model # escapes me ATM) plus the length of the clutch.
