That makes NO sense to me. How is the tranny the problem? I would get a 2nd opinion. Seriously.

YOUR CAR IS UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY!!!!! You have a 5year/60,000 mile drivetrain warranty from the factory.

ALL NISSANS COME STANDARD WITH A 3YEAR/36,000 MILE BUMPER TO BUMPER AND A 5YEAR/60,000 DRIVETRAIN. I GUARANTEE!!!!!! I work at a Nissan dealer. Your transmission IS covered under the 5year/60,000 warranty. I would hate to see you not get this replaced for free when you DO have this coming to you.
