can anyone tell me if the timing cover can be removed (lower) without removing the cylinder head?????i am going to try to replace just the cam sprockets,idler sproket and chain but want to inspect the lower stuff and verify correct timing before assembling it back together up top.where is the best place to purchase the chain/sprokets???? thanks for reading

Unfortunetly from the looks of the breakdown it does appear that you do have to remove the head? Kind of why I did not do the whole timming chain deal and only the guide. There might be a trick that I don't know of though???

Cool! Now I think I might have gone for that procedure even though it sure seems as though it could take close to the same time? The only differance is the fact that you don't have to buy a head gasket and clean up the mess that you make when pulling the head ...
