I just bought a Nissan Frontier 2001 (149,000 miles). When is the prescribed change out of the timing belt? Also, is this an interference motor.

My 300 ZX is an interference motor and I ended up with bent valves when my son's girlfriend ran it past the time to change the timing belt.

Belt should have been changed. at 105,000 miles

If it is a 2.4 liter four there is no timing belt; it uses a chain. The 3.3 liter V-6 uses a belt. Both are interference engines based on previous posts in this forum.
