The other day i was letting the engine warm up to N.O.T. and noticed a wierd tick. it seems to do it only at idle. it is a 95 pick up 4x4. V6. Does anyone think that some lucas would do the trick? is there are recommended oil for in these trucks that maybe would take away this tick? it seems to be coming from the passenger side of the engine. the tick is not constant. however it does come and go, just not regularly.

thanks.

so what i have been reading in the past hour, is to maybe start off with the seafoam treatment, then giver' with some lucas. i'm assuming this, but then add 5w30 for oil. i'll have to check my owner's manual for this, but i think that's what it calls for.

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I honestly didn't think where I lived mattered on which oil I used. Very interesting............

Thanks

That does make sense. So I guess the main question is:

Option 1- 5w-30
option 2 - 5w-30 plus lucas
option 3- 5w-30 plus lucas, plus seafoam
option 4- a heavier weight oil
option 5 a heavier weight oil plus lucas and or seafoam.

thanks so far for the replies. this is my first nissan and i'm putting a lot of work into it.
