Was the transition for Nissan's U.S. presence from the Datsun brand really worth it when they commenced it through a five-year period starting late in 1981?
U.S. vehicles to formally wear the Nissan badge, in order of appearance:
*Sentra (1982) (replaced the Datsun 210 sold from 1979-1982)
*Stanza (1982) (replaced the Datsun 510 sold from 1978-1981)
*Pulsar (1983) (replaced the Datsun 310 sold from 1978-1982)
*720 Pick-Up (1983.5)
*Maxima (1984) (original introduction 1981 as Datsun 810 Maxima, to replace the prior Datsun 810 sold from 1977-1980)
*200SX (1984) (replaced the prior Datsun 200SX sold from 1980-1983)
*300ZX (1984) (replaced the Datsun 280ZX sold from 1979-1983)
Thank you,
