I have a 2008 nissa padfinder i was wondering can if i could use another tcm from a nissa of a different model

You can use a TCM from another Pathfinder without any re-flashing as long as the engine/transmission combination are the same. However using a TCM from a different model with a different engine/transmission combination will most likely require re-flashing. If you buy a new blank TCM, it will definitely need to be flashed.

As far as different Nissan models (that have the RE5R05A transmission), Nissan used several different valve bodies as well as TCM's, so, not necessarily. Even if from the same trim Pathfinder, it still may need to be programmed to communicate with the ECM in order for it to shift properly. I do know that the valve body for the SE-Off-road R51's are specific to that trim in the R51 line-up due to the hill assist and hill decent control features.
