Hey...best option:

SR20DET
SR20VET w/ added turbo
SR20VET

or something completely differnt? I was just wondering. I'm kind of a newbie. I just bought this B13 about a week ago, and I only owned american before that. Is it possible and or practial to have VVL with turbo as well? Or is that a one or the other kind of thing? Anyways...this would be my first swap. So I'd like to make it an easy swap. That's probably the top priority followed by price. And obbiously I want performance, but that goes without saying. So...what's out there for me?

There is a such motor as an SR20VET that is ofcourse turbocharged from factory. However it is majorly rare and expensive. Also it's used on an SUV so I'm not sure if it would only be for RWD or not. It's not as simple as getting an SR20VE and adding a turbo. Because of the VVL there are some things that should be changed to make it work properly with a turbo. It's been discussed so search. Don't want to sound like a jerk but you have asked a bunch of question you could have answered by searching. If you keep doing this no one will answer you.

the sr20vet good luck finding one. Plus it is an AWD setup. rumors that the engine is going for 5000 just for the engine I saw someone on this forum that bought one, but havent heard anything from him.

sr20ve add on turbo forget about it. Adding a turbo to the ve would give you any more power that the sr20det. the compression is to high for turbo, but it has been done before and the guy dosent recomend doing it cause it cost WAY to much to do.

just stick with the sr20det or just get the sr20ve if you want to stay na.

I cant remember if it was this board or another, but a guy did a sr20dett. which is twin turbo on the sr. I would not even think about this unless you know exatly know what you are doing.

I almost forgot that you are swaping a ga for the sr. Do you know how much work you are getting into? Please read this http://www.nissanforums.com/showthread.php?t=45029
