Once in while when at idle and turning the wheel(not moving) it almost sounds like the belt slipping. Fliud is fine, I'm at a loos as to what it may be. The car has 8k on it.

I get the same noise from time to time. I think it is the serp belt slipping. Maybe too much tire to turn for the pwr steering. Dont think its anything to worry about.
It sounds like an 18 wheeler coming to a stop !

I TOO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. DEALER SAID ALL THE BELTS WHERE TIGHT AND COULD NOT PRODUCE THE SAME PROBLEM. I THINK THE CAR JUST HASE THE NORMAL BUGS OF A NEW PLATFORM AND ENGINE. IM SURE FOR THE 2003 MODEL THEY WILL FIX ALOT OF THE PROBLEMS. WHERE JUST STUCK WITH THE 2002 MODEL PROBLEMS UNLES YOU LEMON LAW IT OR TAKE THE HIT TO TRADE IT IN FOR A 2003. I PREFER TO JUST SUFER THROUGH IT AND KEEP THE CAR SINCE THERE ARE ALOT MORE PLUS THAN MINUS!!

Good point

The paint, this weird sterring thang (I have yet to notice that, but, have only had the car 2.5 weeks. )

So far, I think its probably the funnest car I've had so far. Just kinda wish I would have forked out the extra 1500 or so to go from a '02 to a '03
