If you intend to be doing much work on your car, you'll find the factory service manual a wise purchase. It's kind of pricey as far as books go, but it will save you hundreds of dollars in labor costs.

You will find the instructions for reading stored ECU codes in the FSM, as well as diagnostic steps for fixing the problem(s) illuiminated by the ECU codes.

Since my car is OBD-I and yours is OBD-II, the info in my FSM won't necessarily work for you.
