I wanted to buy a set of Goldline 2" drop springs and i was curious as to what their spring rate was. i found out it was 160 lbs in the front and 170 in the rear. What exactly does the spring rate mean?

I know I answered you privately, but I sure other have the same question. What is spring rate?

We'll use those Goldlines as an example.
Spring rate is the stiffnes of the spring measured in weight/distance ie: lbs/in

Front Goldlines 160lbs/in
That means it takes 160lbs to compress the spring one inch.
The higher the rate, the stiffer the spring.
