I was wondering if anyone here has driven an NX. If so, how does it feel
comfort and overall ride wise compared to, say, the Sport Coupe? I'm
interested in getting my hands on one for a project.

I've been looking at them online but they are non-existent in Michigan.
You'd think that since we border Canada, they'd be everywhere..but the
Motor City cancels that out. I see ads for them all over in the North West,
California and North East. Hell, I've even seen a bunch of craigslist ads
for them in Kentucky. But I've never even seen one in "real life"..The
Nissan NX is the equivalent to Big Foot or the Chupacabra for me. I'm
starting to think that they really don't exist and that it's all just Photoshop
trickery.

So not only are they almost a myth to me, but you get imprisoned if
you drive one. Joking. Sucks for dude...unless he committed a violent
crime.

I think the T-Tops idea for Nissans is excellent. I know you get a little
more flex with them off but they'd be sweet to pop off once in a while.
Wish my Sport Coupe had'em. I had a Del Sol about five years ago. When
you took the targa top off, it really lost a lot of the tight feel. You could
feel the whole car flexing and swaying a bit. I'm sure the brace in between
the t-tops on the NX helps with that a little.

Yeah, I see them on Craigslist all the time in Canada and all the border cities in the U.S. as well as California. Just waaay to far away for me to hop in my car and test drive one.

I thought about that after seeing a handfull for sale over there. However, you need a passport to go over to Canada now and I don't have one. It may be worth investing in just to drive the NX.

Really? Thanks for the info...I thought that took effect a while
back. I'm going to try and find one to drive over there and take
it for a spin. From a dealer, of course. I don't want to waste a
private seller's time when I won't have the money for another
month or so..

Yeah, man. I've got a saved google search that scans craigslist for NX's.
So rare. They're all over the west coast and like I said before, in Kentucky.
I've had a hell of a time just trying to find a Sport Coupe front bumper for
my car. Imagine trying to find a hood or bumper for an NX! That's really
the only drawback to buying one. At least I have a sedan front bumper
rigged on my Sport Coupe for the time being. You'd probably have to
attach a railroad tie to the front end of an NX until you found one.

I have an '89 Sedan hood on my '89 Sport Coupe and the Cowel (sp?)
isn't as wide. It kinda' bugs me...but that can wait until I find a
Sport Coupe hood. So there is a small difference in the hood.

The sedan bumper, on the other hand, looks like crap on the Sport Coupe.
I had to get it though so I'd have blinkers and avoid frequent pull-overs.
It doesn't fit. Big gap. doesn't come out far enough to clear the headlights.
Looks totally ghetto. Funny looking, really. But serves it's purpose for now.

Thanks for the link. I've been on car-part.com for a while now. I've found
them but the only problem is that they're pretty far from me. It'll be worth
the drive. It's just finding the time and convincing them to send me quick
photos of the hood and bumper. Every part from a junkyard I've bought
has been in a little worse condition than they described. And a the few
Sport Coupe bumpers I've found locally turned out to be Sedan bumpers.
It would suck big time to drive that far and be surprised with another
sedan bumper or a sedan hood. Or even trashed Sport Coupe parts.
So yeah, if they can send me photos, I'll make the drive. It's worth it
with gas being cheap..
