OK, I'm going to try this one more time. I just bought a 1993 Sentra. Its a 1.6 litre, 5 speed and the speedometer does not move at all. My question is, where is the electrical stuff for the speedo? someone told me its on the tranny, but I don't see anything there. Also, is the speedo electronic on the 93? Thanks in advance.
If I'm in the wrong place can someone give me a link to the right place.:)

Yes it is electronic. I have an auto and mine is located on the top of the trans. It has a hold down bolt, and it sort of looks like a "D" cell battery (to give an idea of the size that is) & it has a wire coming out of it.

before you go and tear anything off, you might want to check out some of the wiring/fuses/etc. under the dash and so on. Nissan's have a habit of faulty wiring... it could be a cheap or no cost fix.

Phil, that would be great if it were just a fuse or something simple. Thanks for the help. :D
Have a great Thanksgiving.
