Here at work (working for the USGS on the Univ. of AZ campus), I did a dslreports.com test the other day on our T1 network. Got numbers close to:

1390kbps (down)
1415kbps (up)

I've recently lost my T1 capabilities at my apt (moved), and now I can't even get highspeed! :( Drats...

For comparison purposes here are typical speeds for common Internet connections. Speeds are listed in kilobytes per second.

T-1 Line 188

1- Can vary widely depending on system load.
Because this test measured the download speed of a single file from the CABLE-MODEM.NET server to your computer, it may not be indicative of the actual bandwidth available through your modem or its access speeds to other Web sites.

With the testlink above, pulled a 188 here at work.

Niss200 --- your avatar is sweet! I too dispise NOS... I actually just wrote a post this morning about why I don't like it because someone said they didnt' understand how I couldn't like it. No thx, don't feel like blowing up my motor. ;)

and this is off my home cable modem!!!!!
