check your caliper slides to see if they are gunked up, to check the carrier bearing, disconnect the d/line on both ends and turn it, if its hard to turn, replace it. be sure to mark the d/line to put it back in correctly otherwise you have a vibration. same with the carrier bearing if you replace it.

king cabs had 2-piece rear d/lines.

just pull the d/line out, have someone or something hold the center support and turn the d/line. disconnect the 4 bolts on the pinion (rear diff) and the 2 bolts for the center support, and (from the picture) slide the front part out. now if its bolted with 4 bolts on the t/case remove those and it drops out.
