i have a 99 sentra gxe, recently ive noticed (only has happened twice, very sporadic) that when i start my car up, i smell something and a little wither of smoke comes for behind my steering wheel on the right side for just a second, wondering if anyone has ever encountered this.. or let me know if there is a different place where i should post this. thanks

You need to take your car to the dealer. You may have a sorted wire underneth the dash. You should have that checked out. SOON

On the 91-94 Sentras I have seen the heater control harness melt. It is usually after the fan goes to only working on high. Could be a possibility.

Definately not normal. Have you tried taking off the column cover and seeing where it comes from? If you still have warranty, take it to the dealer.
