Im lookin at another 240 from a dealer ship goin for 700. The guy says something is wrong with the crankshaft with the bearings but couldnt specify. Could something have gone wrong besides the engine itself? I mean if the driver before ran it to the point where it messed up the crankshaft, could it mean potential problems from other parts? Im planning on swapping the enigine but dont know if it has other problems that wouldnt mke it worth getting. opinions appreciated.

I think if a dealer could minimize the problem, they definitely would. It looks like this 240SX has bad bearings... And there's not much you can do about that... If you're planning a swap, just buy the car ($700 for a 240 is NOTHING) and call Fueled Performance (www.fueledperformance.com) to get you hooked up with the engine you want. The bottom line is, the dealer definitely has the motive to minimize the problem, not exaggerate it...
