Hi, I have a 2002 gxe 1.8L (72,000 miles) and the service engine light came on a few months ago. I had the O2 sensor replaced but the light keeps coming on. I've had 2 mechanics put it on the computer and no code comes up and it passes, but then we switch the light off and it comes back on a few miles down the road. I'm trying to sell the car, so I really want this dealt with. Any ideas???

Hi, I'm not a mechanic so I can't give you any advice, but my car had bad ECM too, and I just resolved this problem. My dealer tried to convience me that I needed a new ECM. I didn't believe it at first, so I went on and did my own research; then found a very reputable mechanic through relialbe people and took the car to him. He checked the ECM and also said I needed a new ECM. My car is over 112,000 miles, and until 2 months ago had no problems with the ECM or " check engine soon" light on. I had to replace the ECM and now my car runs like brand new.
