I'm thinking about trading in my sentra for some thing with more potential, since mines a ga16de powered slushbox. with the exception of sunroof,15 inch alloys and a spolier its pretty much fully equiped and has around 74k miles on which is pretty good for a 96. (hey my cousin has a99 cavilear, however you spell it, with over a 100k miles on it) I was thinking about these cars
95 civic dx, ex coupe with 5 speed ( I know its another honda but it does have huge aftermarket support)
95 civic hatchback 5 speed

95 200sx 5 speed (maybe se-r since import performance isn't really big in my area and would have that much more resale value)

or another 96 sentra just a 5 speed

which do you guys think would be a better choice. and is my sentra worth one of these with a decent amount of miles on it. I know since all of these cars are considered economy cars and with import performance so small of a trend in my area my sentra should have more worth being a automatic than one bieng a 5 speed since slushbox economy cars cost more than their 5 speed counterparts

well if u buy a civic you are gonna pay out of your ass for one
just stick with a 200sx, it looks sporty, and is as fast as civic dx/ex, with bolt ons it can haul ass

but i'm saying in my area civics arent really that hot or popular. its that accord that you are going to be paying out your ass for. around here it isn't really fast and the furious style car modifying its the plain ole "hook up" by putting big 17+" chrome rims on, maybe a subtle body kit, fog lights, a so called high powered system in (fleamarket brand, maybe on the level of sony xplod 15's a 1000watt peak power amp and a plywood box) and the honda accord is the main car to hook up. but i am leaning more towards a 200sx or sentra. since i know i can't afford one with the b16, and even though the d16 got a itty bit more power stock but the ga16de will kick its ass with the same mods since the engine responds better

Buy an Se-r. Does it really matter what everybody else is doing? I would hope that you can say that you have your own style and are not a follower. For the longest time I was the only Se-r owner that was racing and kicked all those Honda/Acura's asses. The way I look at it, it will always take a motor swap or forced induction, in a Civic/Accord/Integra, to keep up with an Se-r.

you're better off just sticking with this car like previous ppl have said... get a turbo kit for it, you'll like it. Civics are ok but you will sell your car and get nothing for it, and have to pay an extraordinairy amount of money and owe money on a civic and by the time you pay it off, it'll have an ass load of miles on it and you'll be broke and slower... :D

but the thing is i have an automatic which means its just about impossible to make it fast and a 5 speed with the same stuff can blow me out. but i decided while i'm in high school i'll just focus on looks and when i get out and start my career then i'll worry about performance since i'll have enough money to swap it to 5 speed, get a sr20de with a aftermarket turbo (to me its a much better option than putting in a sr20det just to replace the stock snails later on since the motor is cheaper and easier to instal) and the fact that their isn't any tracks around me except for a drag strip and thats about a good 90 miles away and i wouldn't really street race because of all the bad things that could happen
