I've got a 2000 Sentra GXE with 40K miles on it...unfortunately, I never got around to changing the tires...finally going to do it this weekend.

3 questions: 1) How much should new original factory tires cost? Looking around the web it seems like between $40 and $60 each. Is this this about right? I'm not looking for anything special. 2) Where should I get them? Should I go to the dealership? I'm sure I'd pay a premium to go there, but is it worth it? Wal-mart? Or any of the tire franchises? 3) When you get new tires, do the stores rotate, balance, and align them for you usually?

$40-60 is right on the money. i go to sears. they have goodyear "weather handler" tires and i think they are about $45 each, its an ok all season. but when you buy tires from sears, sears will give you free balencing of the life of the tire. say of on the highway and through a weight but dont know what wheel it came from, dont worry! its free
