For the past year or so, the heater/AC fan switch on my '93 Sentra SE would get stuck in 4th position, so I never used it. Well tonight, my wife forgot and switched it on max-high. I couldn't get it out of that position, so with all my might, I managed to break it free and get it "unstuck".

Unfortunately, now position "O" (off) is the same as "2" (medium) and position "1" is now "3" (high). Positions "2", "3" and "4" do nothing (now it goes in and out of 4th position without any problem). And my AC light won't come on (not that I need it in this 30-degree weather here in northeastern PA). I really messed it up.

Is this an easy problem to fix? Do I just need a new switch? Will my AC button work again once I fix the fan switch?

Thanks,

Mine has done the same, and now doesn't work. Were you able to fix this, and how did you do it?
