One of the belts on my '92 HB is making a schreeching sound almost every time I start the engine. Very few times it just decides not to do it. Someone suggested a few drops of oil. I also read about spraying WD40 on it. Has anybody tried these methods? or has a better idea? Thank you.

Tension

Check the tension of the belts if they are not tight enough they will squeal.

I am currently working on a 91 HB that did the same thing and in this case the water pump bearings were bad and caused the squeal because they bearings were not allowing the pulley to spin freely. Good luck!
