my car shifts real hard and it is an automatic i know this shouldn't happen what can i do to make this problem better. a buddy of mine got some performance spark plugs and new wires and he said his car started shifting a lot better. should i try this approach or does somebody have a better solution.

i'm thinking that you tranny might be going out, but the spark plugs might help a little.

When's the last time you changed your transmission fluid? Spark plugs won't due anything for a transmission problem. Try changing the fluid and if it still persists get the tranny serviced. Try a tranny fluid cooler as well after you change the fluid.

i just changed my tranny fluid less that 5 months ago

DId you change it yourself? Take it to a dealer to get it flushed and have the filter cleaned. There's no real way to get the old fluid out of the converter except opening up everything and dumping out the fluid so your problem maybe be that.
