Fugly exhaust. And definitely loose the SE-R badge.. it screams rice.

Cut the bumper and mount the muffler so the tip comes through it. I did this on my last car (2007 Toyota Corolla) with an HKS Hi-Power axle-back:

This pic was before I actually mounted the muffler. I set it out about 2" further. Looks much better than dangling down... it looks like you're looking at the back of a dog with its balls hanging between its legs.

Just do that simple thing and your car will be clean!

My muffler hanger was broke btw, had it fixed...

Also added Nx rear disc brakes, Kosei K1 wheels, and it's currently in Knoxville getting a front mount intercooler and dyno tuned. Should be around Friday of next week when I can go get it, then I'll post up some pics. I still have to wait for the lower lip from the front bumper to come in from Germany then it should be done.

Wow man! that is a really nice Sentra, looks like you have but a ton of time and money into it.

I agree the exhaust does look a little shabby, but I wouldn't want to cut into that amazing paint job you have on there.

Also, keep the SE-R badge!

Only about 4k thus far. It was this or buy the wife a new car (which would cost tons more). Sadly, this will be her work car...

Ahh I see. Well hopefully she appreciates all your work on that thing!

And 4k is a lot to a poor college student! haha.

It's not a lot for a car with new paint, new interior, and 200+ hp turbo charged engine.

What can you buy for 4k that comes close to that?

yeah, haha. it's money i don't have.

the project looks amazing man. can't wait to see it completed. so close!!! how much of an issue was it to put in the Z32 MAF? i can't decide whether to go with the Z32 or the Cobra MAF for my GA16ET project.

i also like the muffler. which one is it? i prefer the oval style with the round tip. bit more of a sleeper look to it, which is what i'm aiming for my sport coupe. and where did you get a Sunny lip spoiler? and did the bumper go on issueless with the FMIC in? i need to map out what size i'm going with for mine, and seeing as you did a SC front clip conversion, you're my best friend today lol:).

Credit cards my friend! That an a big income tax return to pay em off with!

As for the Z32 MAF, I honestly don't know, having the dyno shop do that and since I have Nistune running this thing they basically open a drop down box and choose the correct MAF. The muffler was a $20 dollar junkyard special. I got all my sunny parts from Sunnyca18de (German fellow). We had to cut out the back part of the front bumper brace and the center section of the factory bumper to fit the FMIC, but the sunny lip will cover that all up. Ya, I think the SC front looks better than the sedan front, but especially with the sunny lip.

Forgive my newbishness, but is that a GA16 single cam with electronic fuel injection that you then turbo'd?

nope hehe, thats my project. ga16i's have been turbo'd, but not with much success. i'm planning to change it to MPFI using the OBD1 GA16DE intake manifold, throttle body, ECU, and harness. that would technically classify it as a GA16E. i have the GA16i eurocam, and it will then be turbod, most likely using the same method as blownb310 and beyondbiscuits2 used for there GA16DE's. it'll be a stronger, more powerful base than the GA16DE for boosting, so it should be pretty potent. it may also go the way of forged con rods and forged lower compression pistons to allow for more boost.

Wow man that sounds awesome! that's kind of what I was thinking, but didn't know how to verbalize it.

I think eventually I want to go for a CA18DE and then maybe turbo it in the future. I like the fact that its a dohc, I love the sound they make, and the timing efficiency.

Have either of you guys ever heard of taking a CA18DET out of a late 80s 200sx?? wondering if it's possible

the S12 actually had a CA18ET, not DET. it was the 89 and early model 1990 JDM 240's (180sx) and silvia's that had the CA18DET.

it either requires adapter plates, or simply a transmission from a kn13 pulsar SE, as it was the vehicle with the N/A CA18DE. it's my understanding that the DE and DET are quite different internally, which is normal with n/a and fi versions of the same engine. one is built for boost (lower compression, forged internals) while the other is built for n/a performance/daily driving. the b13 SR20DE and the s13/bluebird SR20DET's are like that as well. i'm sure the CA18DE can be boosted as well, but not the same level as the DET without heavy internal mods. you probably couldn't go over 6-7 psi.

and as far as using a GA-series platform, mine is the pain in the ass method. it could be better, but it will take longer and could be more painful.

if you want something simple, swap in an OBD1 GA16DE from a b13, and get the turbo kit for it upgraded to a T25, then use the b13 SR20DE ECU and harness along with the SR20DE 279cc injectors, and you have a system full capable of 12psi that bolts in without too much hassle.

Wow, thanks for all the info man. My brother and I are Nissan lovers(he drives a 91 240sx sr20det) and we have been racking our brains trying to figure out what to do to this sport coupe! He's the technician and im still in school, so he has a lot more knowledge than I do. But I know I want a Dohc but I also really like the stock motor, so the GA16DE sounds like a really good choice.

Basically I am just really stoked on this car, it's got 212k miles and runs perfectly, with almost stock compression and vacume. It sparked my love for Nissans again, haha.

Anyways... I'm rambling, this has gone off topic, but thanks again both of you guys!

sport coupe's are awesome. i love mine. as for the GA swap, you have an e16i sentra. it will require an b13 tranny as well, and the correct motor mount assembly. what may be handy, is going to a junk yard and finding an 89-90 sport coupe, and get the whole front clip. then all you have to do is swap in the DE and do the wiring. make sure your DE is a 91-94. it's OBD1, and makes life a helluva lot simpler.

Hey, is there any significant difference between the 91 and 92-94 DEs? or anything at all?
