i pulled the code 32 from my 1994 nissan sentra 1.6L ga16de
car. I have the hynes manual and replacing the egr is confusing me.
it says to remove the pedium ( i think) i'm assuming it's the air intake hose.
am i wrong?

it also says i have to jack up car to get the pipe off, is this true also and how hard is this job since i;m just a beginner.

i failed my emissions test with a NOX reading double what it should be.
am i barking up the right tree by starting with the code on the ecu.

is there a better step by step guide to help me with this job.

yes, download the FSM, it has info of fixing the codes.
For EGR problems check the little rubber hose under the BPT_EGR valve.
that was my problem it had rotted out, a straight hose collapses, you have to buy the $7 Nissan part.

this is from the FSM

See where it says EGRC-BPT, the rubber hose is right there

as the haynes manual says you have to lift the car to get at the bottom
pipe on the egr, is this true or can it all be got at from the top.

I got to mine from the top, from memory the valves are near the Air intake and above the starter, kind of behind the distributor.
I dont know what pipe you are referring to.
Of course mine was a 97, don't know if your is different. (picture is also from 97 FSM)
download your FSM and look up the code... 0302
