Hi guys,

My GF has a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8SE. A couple days ago, when she turned the car off, pulled the key out, and her engine stayed on. She put the key back in, turned it to on, turned it to off again and pulled out the key. The engine still remained on. She put the key in one last time, turned it to on, put it in reverse and backed up a little, then put it in park and shut it off. This time the engine did shut off. Her car is completely stock except she has an automatic car starter. What do you think happened? Anyone else ever have this problem?

Sounds like the only thing that has been done is more than likely the prob.
Get the auto start checked.

Yeah I have the exact same problem, just press the brake pedal, just like when you command-start and want to shut off without the key.

Obviously its a factory auto-start problem, but it doesnt happen too much and its not that much trouble to press the brake when it happens.

if it is a viper remote starter there is a turbo cool down option which keeps the engine running for a set amount of time to allow the turbo to spool down and cool off on engines with turbos, that may have been accidently turned on it is just a matter of reprograming it
