Hi there group, I am owner of Nissan Sentra 2001 GXE and I think my car computer is dead ( from technicians and auto service people) . I wanted to know how much it will cost to fix it.

OR

If it will be good idea to buy old computer from junkyard and have the mechanic put it in the car. Because I think if I will go to dealer I won't be able to afford the price they will charge.

Please help me out.

An ecu for your Sentra is about $800.
Why do you think your ecu is bad?

If your car has less than 8 years or 80K miles on it, it's covered under the emissions warranty.

If you do have to buy one the wrecker yards charge about $100 up but for older units.
