I'm trying to get as much info as I can in regards to the 2.5 pre-cat failure. I've seen numerous responses throughout the web about folks getting covered through Nissan. Not everybody is so lucky. So far I'm on my third 'no'. I was told that the pre-cat was covered to 80,000 miles under as emmissions warranty. However, some folks are saying different. If you've dealt with this major problem and came out with victory please send me all the info you can. That includes file numbers, invoice info, warranty info any thing that you can send to help. I'm supposed to get a call from the 'next higher level' sometime on 16 Jan. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Apparently if you have over 80k miles on your ride regardless of coverage you're screwed-at least in this country. One guy said he was sitting on 140k and got a new motor in Canada. That might have been in kilometers I guess. If you've altered the engine in any way you're pretty much screwed. If you drive hard and they can prove it I'm sure you're screwed. Options outside of moving to Canada iclude: 1. Pray that your car doesn't fit the previously stated 'screwed' criteria. 2. Just hand over $4+k to somebody to get it taken care of out of your own pocket. 3. Move on and get another car if you can. 4. Prepare yourself for the business end of the most cruel and brutal dry humping (refer to options 1-3) Sorry man
