I don't know how many of you were near enough to the west coast to see the partial eclipse today, but since I'm pretty close to the Pacific, I got a pretty good show. The eclipse started at ~17:00 PST and maximum was at 18:08 PST. My dad and I set up a projector of sorts out of a mirror, a tripod, and some electrical tape to project the image of the sun onto the garage wall. Here's some pics I snapped during the eclipse:

I think the odd dark spots on either side of the moons shadow are because our contraption wasn't exactly focused. Here's our home-made projector:

I was at the beach all day today(west coast) and I didn't even notice the damn thing. Guess I was too busy checking out the girls, heheh:D

Now that I think about it, I do remember the constrast of the scenery becoming more pronounced around that time, like NiN said.
