Just took my 2000 GXE into Autozone to get the code read as a result of my check engine soon light.
The result was P1126 - air / fuel metering (I believe).
It's all fine and dandy now I know what the error code is, but what do I do with it?
Do I need to take my vehicle into Nissan to find out what needs to be replaced ($85 dollar minimum)?

Thanks,

pbradle

P1126, according to the factory service manual, is a thermostat function code.

When you get codes read at autozone, just get the code number, not what their generic meter says.........its about 40% correct.

there's either a leak in the seal, the thermostat could be stuck open, or the coolant temp sensor is bad.
