So I just installed new upper and lower ball joints, after a whole weekend and calling for some backup from my girlfriends dad and a friend. It was a pain in the ass getting them off! :balls:

Anyway, so I was putting some grease into the upper ball joints (lower ones don't have nipples). I pumped the grease gun, watching the rubber expand. And then some grease popped out from the rubber in the middle. Looks to me like I over-greased it. Am I right or is this normal? Thanks in advance!

sounds like you over did it.... should be able to replace just the boot
if the lowers do not have the fittings, there should be a little bolt, unscrew it and install the greese fittings

Damn man. Well, the uppers are way easier and cheaper to replace.

The grease popped out of the middle of the rubber through a little hole.

My girlfriends Dad said that it's normal. But that was over the phone and maybe something was lost in translation.
