All - I have a 2001 Pathfinder and had my check engine light popped on. Upon further diagnosis it ended up to be the exhaust valve - when we pulled it off there was engine oil in there clogging it up??. I had the valve replaced 2 days ago and my light just popped on again!! - Before I had it replaced the engine was running very rough and I was told that it still may until the oil "burned" out of there. So basically 2 questions - did the light come on because of the possible left over oil residue? and why is there oil in there in the first place??
Thanks

FYI, you have 6 exhaust valves...they're in the heads, right next to the intake valves. I think you have the wrong word for what you replaced.

What is your Oil consumption ? There shouldn't be Oil in the Exhaust.
Maybe carbon if your are burning Oil?
