Hi All,
i just fix my engine oil dripping by CHANGE the Oil pressure switch(Niles)... happily..
BUT now realise my maual gear side also have some oil drips.
there is a switch on the Manual gearbox, the surrounding looks oily.
anyone DIY change the gearbox switch ?
can it be change with losing it gearbox oil ?
how can i top the manual gear box oil? with wat oil grade prefer ?

if you want to change the switch, then i would drain the fluid and clean the area. apply sealant when installing the switch and let dry. to fill the gear box, you will have to take the round plug out thats on the front of the gear box, just under the mount. you will need to fill it using a hose. its full when the oil starts to run out. you will need to buy 3 quarts of gear oil......ask the man at the counter for the weight. the oil needs to be changed every 30k miles to prevent excessive wear.

yeah i saw the hose , pretty thin.
meantime, if i need to top up the gearbox oil,
Do i pour the fluid into that hose ???? looks difficult ! or we need mechanic's pump to do pump in?
first time for me , pls enlighted.thx

where s the location of the filler plug for M/T for top up
and how to know the syphtom of low gear oil level ?
