odometer issues .............?

Ok about 3 weeks ago i put my indiglos in and since the my odometer has had a mind of its own it just works when it wants, isnt it controled by the magnets inside the speedo cause im stumped it will go like 46 miles and then stop and then the next time i drive it will go 3 miles its crazy trying to find out what the hell i should do

i would start by taking out the entire gague cluster and unplug all the electrical connectors from the back and then plug them all back in again
